
Reel Big Fish is a southern California punk-ska band that followed the success of band like No Doubt and Sublime. Reel Big Fish was originally a tri, consisting of vocalist/ guitarist Aaron Barret, bassist Matt Wong, and drummer Andrew Gonzalas. At that time they where a full out rock band that covered most classic rock songs, and top 40 favorites. After a few months of dead gigs the band discovered ska music and decided to add a couple horn player. It took a few years before the final line up of horn players was Travis Werts (trumpet), Scott Klopfenstein (trumpet/vocals), Grant Berry (trombone), and Dan Regan (trombone). There debut album "Everything Sucks" was released in 95, and became and instant hit in underground ska music and college campus circles. Following that succes they signed with Mojo records. Turn The Radio Off was released of Mojo records in '96. They toured constantley to support the album and create a fan base. In the spring of 97 their single "Sell Out" began recieving heavey airplay from modern rock stations in the US. By summer it was a modern rock hit, and the album was charted in the top 100. Why DO They Rock So Hard followed a year later. And in early 2000 they returned with "Everything Sucks" |
